  • Neil Kelly Cabinets, Portland OR, launched their green and healthy manufacturing process in 1998 and was the first in the world to manufacture and offer friendly and healthy cabinet collections. Their bill of materials was formulated by considering both the environment and indoor air quality. Case/Drawer material is a no added formaldehyde agriboard made from either wheat straw or wood fiber. In either case, the binder adds no additional urea formaldehyde. All glues, adhesives and finishes are water based low/no VOC products. Finally, the company is FSC chain-of-custody certified - customers may choose to have FSC certified wood parts. The final products become the friendliest and healthiest cabinetry in the world today. Neil Kelly holds memberships in the US Green Building Council, the Forest Stewardship Council and the Oregon Natural Step.
