Quality Control in Wood Products Manufacturing

This workshop will introduce participants to many of the key tools of quality control – brainstorming, Pareto charts, checksheets, flowcharts, cause-and-effect diagrams, design of experiments and statistical process control (SPC). Particular emphasis will be given to SPC. The workshop will involve a mix of lecture and 'hands on' so that participants will gain experience using the tools introduced in the course.

  2. Participants will work 'hands-on' in a computer lab to gain experience using Microsoft Excel to use the tools introduced in the course
